"The Liar"

written, performed, recorded and produced by Kyll
A Pop Rock song with some acoustic guitar and focus on the vocal melody. Of course there are solos happening again in the song, which transitions in the end to a heavy driven outro part. The lyrics are about hypocrisy, the external pressure of going with the flow of society and the literally discouraging life advices of those wonderful coaches and influencers.
"my life’s doing well
there’s nothing to complain about
and happiness is for sale
and I’ve got to say it out loud
oh I’m a professional Liar
yeah the work can be tough
that’s what every job’s supposed to be
and I can’t emphasize it enough
I found my place in the system I’m free
oh I’m a professional Liar
I’m a liar to myself
to fulfill the expectations
of anybody else
oh with my mind set to positive
I can easily reach the top from the bottom
and don’t you dare to ask “what if?”
ignore the risks they’re unimportant and common
I’m a liar to myself
to fulfill the expectations
of anybody else
those lies are my creations
they say
look how far they made it
you can get this too
just by wanting it enough
no matter what you have been through
it’s not my life yeah this is yours
and so I have to please you
oh tell me again which secret’s to choose from
and I can be finally satisfied too
oh I’m a professional Liar
I’m a liar to myself
to fulfill the expectations
of anybody else
those lies are my creations
I’m a liar to myself
oh fuck I hate it"
